Boquet Machine Services (“Boquet”) was established in 1987 in Houma, LA. From the beginning, Boquet has served as a machine shop specializing in ‘job shop’ work for companies that service or are related to the construction and marine industries. Since its establishment, Boquet has become a consistent player within the job shop market and has become the ‘go-to’ machine shop for hydraulic and pneumatic parts repair applications.
Since 2008, Boquet has been owned and operated by Sterling Pitre, Jr. who began his job shop machining career in 1977 at age 14. Over these 38 years, Sterling has developed into a 1st Class Master Machinist with a tremendous working knowledge in every aspect of its principles. His 18 year employee relationship with an oil and gas ‘flow and pressure’ industry leader has also given him extensive insight into the workings of those, as well as general oil and gas applications. This experience has enhanced and expanded relationships with our diverse customer base and their needs/challenges.
Also of interest, in the past few years, Boquet has added a CNC lathe and CNC mill to its equipment inventory. These computer machines have been instrumental in allowing even better response and turn-around for our customer’s repair and manufacturing needs. No one, better than us, understands the enormous cost and loss potential of down-time!
